Gaming Is My Getaway
I don’t take vacations. Never have. Beaches and hotel pools do nothing for me. My getaway is a controller in my hands and a few hours with nobody needing anything from me.
Gaming is when I don’t have to be Josh for a little bit. Writing this down sounds weird, but if you game, you know the feeling. You sit down, the world gets small, and the only problems left are a boss fight and a bad build. I’ll take those problems any day.
Gaming gives me a place to shut the noise off and focus on one thing. Your brain gets a break. You get to be somebody else for a while, and then you log off and go back to being you.
If gaming is your getaway too, you’re in good company. Set a timer if you need one. Look up from the screen when someone you love walks in the room.
